Selected period

tip

Last week's costs or last year's costs are not the same. We've designed the Holori app to help you gain valuable insights. Selecting the right period is often the first key step to a successful analysis.

The homepage is designed to summarize your cloud environment with easy to read elements. The key variable we need from you to display your data the way you like it is the reference period. On the top righ corner of the page, click on the "Select period" or date button and choose your preferred timeframe. To make things easier we also offer to select predefined timeframes such as 7 days, last month etc.

To keep things simple yet, we won't detail the "Views" options right away but will do it further on the "Filters & views" page of the documentation.

Cloud costs and accounts overview

On the page you will notice that you have four main rectangles displaying key information about your connected accounts:

  • The average daily cost

Map of active cloud regions

On the world map you can see the active regions for all your conencted cloud acccounts. Clicking on a region will open a diagram with the corresponding resources. For example, if I select my UK - London region it will display on a diagram all my resources in the region regardless of the provider or accounts. It is possible to filter this list on provider basis by selecting it on the top right corner. You can also expand the map by clicking on the icon next to the provider's choice on the top right corner of the map.

By Hovering on top of a bar, more precise information is displayed regarding the cloud costs amount and a split per provider (if applicable).

warning

Again, the "timeframe" selector on the top right corner of the page has an impact on the information displayed.
